  3. DROEGE - Design Robot for Origination of Exacting Graphic Engineering

  5. DROEGE is a general purpose Computer Aided Design (CAD) program for the manual
  6. layout of printed circuit boards.  The free version can normally handle
  7. circuits of about twenty chip equivalents, although an included demonstration
  8. file squeezes in a 200 square inch board with over 1000 components.

  12. * 65000 by 65000 point layout area.  Normally 65" by 65" to one mil precision
  13.   but scale can be arbitrary.

  15. * Twelve Layers.

  17. * Three colors can be assigned to any of the twelve layers.

  19. * Fifteen Line Widths.
  20.  
  21. * Very powerful symbol concept.  A symbol can be as simple as pads on several
  22.   layers, an IC layout, or a complete memory.  Symbols can call symbols to
  23.   level 20.  Symbols can be rotated.

  25. * Objects supported are lines, pads, symbols, labels, and arcs.

  27. * Fifteen viewing screens allow redraw to any preset part of the layout
  28.   and to any scale.

  32. * Any layout grid is allowed and it can be changed during use.

  34. * Stitch function allows fast switching between layers with automatic
